Aktuell gibt es insbesondere an den Grenzen zur Türkei, Armenien und Aserbaidschan Probleme bei der Einreise. Manchmal klappts und manchmal nicht. Da wr die gesamte Entwicklung aus dem Iran heraus verfolgt haben, haben wir mit Iraner zusammen folgendes Schreiben aufgesetzt, mit der Bitte, dass möglichst viele diese Schreiben verschicken, um dafür zu sorgen, dass hier an den Grenzen vielleicht bald wieder Klarheit herrscht.
IRAN: the "ban" of motorbikes bigger than 250ccm is a real problem these days. We are in the country with the bikes since last october (2018) and thought we should organize something. We talked to many people in Iran and it seems that noone is aware that the group of overlanding tourists on motorbikes is bigger than "just a few per year". So let's show them we are many and that their practice of banning "big bikes" causes loss for the Tourist Industry!
We wrote many mails in the last weeks and found that if we get ans answer, then only if our mail is in Farsi. So we set up a text in Farsi (see comments for the text), you could send to some "authorities":

رد درخواست ورود موقت موتور سیکلت با ظرفیت بیشتر از 250 سی سی

با عرض سلام و احترام،
متاسفانه در چند هفته اخیر ورود موقت موتور سیکلت های با حجم موتور بزرگتر از 250 سی سی به ایران ممنوع شده است و قبل از اجرای این قانون هیچ گونه اطلاعات رسمی به کلوب های موتور سیکلت و یا سفارتخانه های ایران اعلام نشده است. در حالی که هنوز موتورسیکلت ها از مرزهای پاکستان، ترکمنستان و بندرعباس امکان ورود دارند، از ورود مسافرهای دارای موتورسیکلت در مرزهای ترکیه، ارمنستان و آذربایجان جلوگیری می شود.
این اطلاعات غیر دقیق و غیر رسمی برای مسافران آزاردهنده است. آن ها نمی توانند اطلاعات دقیق و رسمی از کلوب های اتومبیلرانی و یا مقامات ایرانی کسب کنند. تنها اطلاع در خصوص قانون جدید نامه ای از کلوب اتومبیلرانی ایران است که به همتایان صادرکننده کارنه د پاساژ در 8 دسامبر 2018 ارسال شده است.
ما نمی توانیم درک کنیم که چرا دسترسی برای مسافران با کارنه د پاساژ معتبر، بیمه نامه معتبر و ویزای معتبر رد می شود. به نظر نمی رسد که این اطلاعات به سفارتخانه های رسمی ایران و سایر سازمان های مربوطه ابلاغ شده باشد. ویزای در لحظه ورود (VOA) روند صدور ویزا را برای مسافرانی که از طریق فرودگاه ها وارد ایران می شوند، آسان تر می کند. مسافران دارای موتورسیکلت نیز مشابه با مسافران هوایی، گردشگرانی هستند که حتی زمان بیشتری را در ایران سپری خواهند کرد و پول بیشتری را وارد کشور خواهند نمود. به نظر می رسد تسهیل سفر برای مسافران دارای موتورسیکلت امر مطلوبی باشد از آنجایی که ورود ارز به کشور از طریق مسافران به اقتصد کشور نیز کمک خواهد نمود.
مایه تاسف است که شرایط اخیر شهرت ایران را برای مسافران دارای موتور سیکلت کاهش داده است، زیرا ایران یکی از جالب ترین و مهمان نواز ترین مقاصد گردشگری در جهان است.
به عنوان گردشگران دارای موتور سیکلت استدعا داریم که در تصمیم موجود در خصوص رد ورود موقت مسافران دارای موتور سیکلت در مرزهای ایران تجدید نظر نمایید.

The translation is: Rejection of termprary import of motorcylce bigger than 250ccm
Dear Sir,
For a few weeks the import of motorcycles with engines bigger than 250cc has been prohibited. Prior to the enforcement of this new rule, no official information has been issued to the motorcycle clubs or Iranian embassies. However motorcycle travellers have still been entering through the borders of Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and the Port of Bandar Abbas. Travellers are being rejected at the borders of Turkey Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
This uncertain information is frustrating for travellers. The travellers are unable to get reliable official information from automobile clubs or Iranian authorities. The only suggestion that a new law has been introduced is a letter from the Iranian automobile club addressed to their counterparts issuing the carnet de passages from 08th of December 2018.
We are unable to understand why access is denied for travellers with valid carnet de passages, insurances and valid visas. This information does not appear to be distributed to the official Iranian embassies and other related organizations. The visa on arrival has made the visa process easier for travellers who enter through the airport. Motorbike travellers are also tourists and as they are staying in the country for longer and will spend more money. It would make sense to make the process easier for motorbike tourists as they will be spending more money within the country and improving the Iranian economy as a result.
The situation has lowered the Iranian reputation. This is unfortunate as Iran is one of the most interesting and hospitable countries for tourists.
I am kindly asking for you to revise the decision to reject individual travellers with their vehicles at the borders
